Then and Now

On March 19 we’re Celebrating 4 years in our new home! During the lead-up, we’re digging through the archives and sharing some memories from the past four years at 1115.

Check out a few photos below of The Theatre Centre before and after the renovations. (You might have to give the sliders a second to load.)

Here is an old file photo of 1115 Queen St West when it was the Carnegie Library, and now, the present day home of The Theatre Centre.

The west side of the building before renovations started and present day. As you can see, the cafe was built onto the outside of the existing building.

All finished! And featuring the latest Side Streets installation by Lizz Aston

Upstairs, more dramatic changes were made. Here you can see the former reading room of the Carnegie Library which is now the Franco Boni Theatre.

Join us on Monday, March 19th from 1-3PM to celebrate our 4th anniversary. There will be cake (there always is).

Plus! Our free library (take a book, leave a book) just got a huge donated selection. Come browse our ode to the buildings 55 year history as the Queen Lisgar Branch Library.
