Here are a few things our construction team have been busy with at 1115 Queen West in the past few weeks:
1. Some structural carpentry work in the Main Hall: two openings for trap doors have been made. It looks like there’s going to be a real theatre here! Here is a quick snap of one of the trap doors – it’s just a hole in the floor at this point!
2. Excavation works have begun on the lower level of the building. Take a look at what the excavation site looks like these days – this will be our Rehearsal Hall, the main space for research and development of new works. Check out the temporary illumination – doesn’t it look festive?
3. Our beautiful construction hoarding got an upgrade – we’ve installed peepholes so that our community could take a look at what’s happening at the construction site and read messages from some of the people featured on the hoarding and learn more about The Theatre Centre and the work we do. Come by 1115 Queen West to take a peep!
