We are pleased to announce the appointment of Aislinn Rose as the company’s General Manager. As an independent producer and theatre maker Aislinn has worked with companies across Toronto, including the Luminato and SummerWorks festivals, and brings seven years of experience to her new role at The Theatre Centre.
“I am truly delighted to be taking on this role with The Theatre Centre, and to have this opportunity to work alongside General & Artistic director Franco Boni,” said Aislinn Rose. “There isn’t a theatre in this city nearer to my heart, and its ethos is closely aligned with my own. This is an exciting time for the company and I look forward to working with the team as we move into a new era in our new home.”
Aislinn will join the expanded staff at The Theatre Centre, just two months after the company opened its new live arts hub and incubator in the heart of Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood. Taking on the overall management and operational activities of the company, she will also focus on producing and supporting new work from resident artists, collaborating with national and international touring companies, and solidifying the company’s reputation as an international live arts incubator and presenter. Aislinn takes over from The Theatre Centre’s Managing Director Roxanne Duncan, who moves on to the role of Managing Director with the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival.
“We are very excited to welcome Aislinn, who brings a wealth of experience and a unique voice and energy to the company at such a pivotal time in our history,” said Franco Boni, The Theatre Centre’s General & Artistic Director.
Aislinn will start with the company on June 17, 2014. Read full advisory about Aislinn’s appointment.
