Next time you’re strolling along Lisgar St, grabbing a drink before a show or working the afternoon away in The Theatre Centre Café/Bar, look up and enjoy the work created by the talented and local artists of City of Craft.
We are thrilled to launch SIDE STREETS, a year-round series of hanging installations in The Theatre Centre Café/Bar.
Our first installation is by Kalpna Patel, maker extraordinaire, whose inspiring work you’ve seen gracing the windows of your favourite shops around Toronto. She’s a driving force behind the scenes of City of Craft and responsible for the creation of their inventive, jaw dropping décor.
Inspired by the history of The Theatre Centre building, formerly the Carnegie Library, Kalpna is installing a new series of her well-loved book sculptures.
Check out SIDE STREETS this Saturday, April 18th at the spring edition of City of Craft. With lots of new artists and vendors (along side your returning favourites), City of Craft will fill The Theatre Centre with vintage, rummage and handmade wares. This is your spring epicentre of all things wonderful and crafty.
