STITCH by Urbanvessel
May 26 - May 30, 2010
|
May 26-30, 2010; 8 pm;
Following a sell-out run in 2008, Urbanvessel partner-up once again with The Theatre Centre to remount STITCH, a cappella opera by maverick composer-librettist duo Juliet Palmer and Anna Chatterton.
Hemmed in by the language of sewing and the inexorable rhythm of the machine, three women fight to find space for imagination and individuality. From the sweet 3-part stylings of “Cowl-neck Blues” to the fierce interlocked minimalism of “Chain stitch, Lock stitch, Whip stitch”, STITCH gives voice to the unseen women who clothe us all.
May 26 - 30, 8pm
Tickets $20

Theatre Caravel presents OVER by Darren O'Donnell
Jan 14 - Jan 16, 2010
|
All shows at 8pm
Jan 14, 15, and 16, @ 8PM at The Theatre Centre
Tickets available online at www.TheatreCaravel.com and by phone via The Theatre Centre Box Office at 416 538 0988 for $12, and at the door for $15
A remount of Theatre Caravel's inaugural production, in which a brother and sister (Mann and Otter), seemingly oblivious to the world outside of their cramped apartment, battle their past and their inappropriate attraction to one another in a series of absurdist (and, at times, vaudevillian) conversations.
"...part of what made this production of Over so good was certainly the writing, but the play’s two actors, Eric and Julia, were also phenomenal as Mann and Otter."
-Darryl D'Souza
