what it’s like
Co-produced by adelheid and The Theatre Centre
what it’s like, a new work from adelheid’s Artistic Director Heidi Strauss, brings audiences into a shared space to consider performance as an active platform to witness and experience our shifting relationships with comfort, agency, responsibility, and complicity. In a world so threatened by violence and fear, what it’s like explores what brotherhood can really mean.
what it’s like is an active audience experience. If you have concerns related to mobility, please get in touch so that we can be prepared for your visit. The Theatre Centre is a fully accessible venue. Please contact us at 416-538-0988 or email@example.com if you have specific accessibility needs.
adelheid’s movement-based work looks at interaction between different people and groupings of people, with a specific interest in the situation of performance and how we consider each other (audience & performer) within that construct. adelheid began in 2008 with Heidi Strauss and Jeremy Mimnagh; its work has toured across Canada.
what it’s like was developed in Residency at The Theatre Centre. Residency is made possible by Lead Sponsor BMO Financial Group, and with the support of The J.P. Bickell Foundation.
