We’re part of The Theatre Centre, but we are also our own thing. A workspace, a coffee shop, a bar, a performance space, a gathering place. Coffee, cocktails, delicious treats, and free wifi—spend an hour or the whole day. This place is for you.

Our Baker In Residence, Akash Swar, designs a rotating menu of scones, cookies, and cakes baked daily in our kitchen.

Find some gems in our little free library (all books are free to take). If you sit by our large café windows, you’ll get a full view of our pollinator garden (full of native Toronto plants) and their bee-sitors!

We offer competitive rates in a great spot in the city (right on Queen Street West/Lisgar Street), friendly staff, and good vibes. Specially designed cocktails? Fun lights? Independent artists — starting at $0 for a night

For independent artists, we often waive our rental rates, depending on space and staff availability at The Theatre Centre. We don’t charge commission for merch table or your ticket sales.

Nonprofits and Community organizations — starting at $625 for a night

The Theatre Centre has been a long term rental space for many nonprofits in the city. If our café (or any other space at The Theatre Centre) inspires you, please fill out this rental form and our bookings committee will get back to you with our nonprofit rates!

Our menu changes on the regular, but we almost always have some type of cookie, loaf, square, sandwich, scone (if you get here early enough) and we always have all the drinks. Our Baker in Residence, Akash Swar, is often in the kitchen baking something brand new. If something smells good, make sure to try them before they’re gone. If you really love something, let us know so that we can bake it more often!
