Thank you OTF for supporting our shift to hybrid!

September 21, 2023

The Theatre Centre would like to recognize the support of Ontario Trillium Foundation for the $44,900 Resilient Communities Fund grant we received from the Government of Ontario. Awarded in spring 2023,to help the organization invest in infrastructure to support its hybrid needs in the long-term.

OTF’s contributions helped The Theatre Centre to purchase new equipment and training which allowed the organization to maintain a flexible, hybrid work environment. The upgrades notably included a brand new box office system that offers patrons a more user friendly experience.

“Thanks to the Resilient Communities Fund we’ve been able to make meaningful investments in staff support as we remain committed to serving artists and the wider community,” shares Aislinn Rose, General and Artistic Director.

The Theatre Centre continues to welcome audiences back to the building with innovative works including Patrick Blenkarn and Milton Lim’s asses.masses, an international presentation of Nathan Ellis’s work.txt, and the fourth edition of Comedy is Art festival.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation’s mission is to build healthy and vibrant communities across Ontario. As an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations, last year, OTF invested nearly $209M into 2,042 community projects and partnerships, which included funding for the Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund. Since 2020, OTF has supported Ontario’s economic recovery by helping non-profit organizations rebuild and recover from the impacts of COVID-19.
