The "Al Val: A New Hour" Hour

Rising comedy star Al Val (JFL, CBC, CTV, OutTV, Ha!ifax Comedy Festival) hits the stage with her trademark wit, spontaneity and vulnerability in an unforgettably intimate performance! Since retiring her polished material after taping a stand up special in September, Val sweats all her rawest, freshest thoughts on the stage in a standup performance that will demonstrate the wonderfully chaotic, experimental and precarious initial steps in her comedy writing process.
After “outgrowing” the tumultuous early stages of her gender transition, Val sets out to explore the more universal elements of a human in transition: the search for love, companionship, belonging, maturity, understanding and a life one can be proud of – all filtered through her wildly silly perspective. Of course with Val being her distractible self, expect some unpredictably charming digressions along the way!
