dead reckoning

A DanceWorks CoWorks Series event

Blue Ceiling dance’s exploration of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s encounter with a disembodied presence that guided him from near death in Antarctica. Three duets make a map of the human heart and brain as they manifest what we need in times of distress. The work mines the performers’ own experiences for an intimate unforgettable experience with choreography by Blue Ceiling dance artistic director Lucy Rupert and internationally renowned Canadian ballet choreographer Peter Quanz in his new experimental creation vein.
