Delete After Death

Presented by TALKALOT Collective and Humber Theatre

Bring your cell phone and turn it on. You’ll need it for Gray’s funeral. Don’t know Gray? Don’t worry. It’s not about what you know; it’s about what you post. Soon your memories will join his to create this engaging exploration of how we remember in the digital age.

If social media has made grieving public, what privacy is left for him? Who can write the best memorial post on his Facebook page? Who was really his friend? Who has the right to grieve?

TALKALOT Collective is a self-described band of misfits graduating from Humber Theatre. We are 26 diverse artists who would never otherwise work together and we are creating a show from scratch without a director. Because of this unique situation, our work poses tough questions to our audience and each other.

“Some of my all-time favourite moments have been when something hilariously awkward happens in public and I catch the eyes of a stranger and for a second we know exactly what each other is thinking. And then we go about our lives. It’s a beautiful intimacy.” For actor, director, and writer Gregory Prest, even a...

“The difference between Versus and my other shows is that this one is a celebration of community while the other ones were me trying to punch people in the face to say, “wake up.” Rather, it’s me saying, “we’re all like this guy, it’s tough, so let’s keep walking forward together.” Residency Artist, Adam Lazarus,...
