Le malentendu

A Production by Théâtre français de Toronto

When love fails to speak, silence kills.
In a remote inn, a mother and daughter hide a sinister scheme — travelers who stop there never leave. One day, a man returns after years away, longing to reconnect with his roots and his family. Anxious and uncertain, he hesitates to reveal his identity… But in this house, where hope has long given way to a darker fate, silence can be deadly. Between unspoken truths and deceptive appearances, destiny is about to take a cruel turn.

A gripping tragedy, Le malentendu stands as one of Albert Camus‘ most powerful theatrical works. Exploring the absurdity of existence and the elusive nature of recognition, this intense and haunting play challenges what binds us together—and what keeps us apart.

Please note the show is in French with English Surtitles.
