A connoisseur of music, Nana boasts an impressive list of credentials. He began his DJ career at the tender age of 14 and has since then performed in many locations around North America, Europe, Asia, and South Africa. As a music producer and independent label owner, Nana has secured musical placements for various productions (Kim’s Convenience Season Four, The Coroner), earned a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording Album (Legends League Prsents: Naturally Born Strangers), created the classic South African Hip Hop Song “Let The BeatGo” featuring HHP, Tumi (Stogie T) and Zubz, was honoured with Ghana DJ’s Best international DJ in 2014; and is the only DJ to have made an appearance on any Idol based show – his feat on Canadian Idol during 2008.

DJ Nana

Victoria Gyamfi-Kumanini

By day, Victoria is a corporate media professional – while 24-7 she is a wellbeing, invisible disability advocate, Auntie, Fibromyalgia warrior, beauty and Pilates enthusiast.

A life long member of DJ Nana’s ear2muchcollective she sometimes moonlights as the RAP SHEETS Hip Hop and R&B Trivia ‘hostess with the mostest.’

Jason Barkie

Raised in Toronto, Jason Barkie is a multi-disciplinary artist. Originally known for beat boxing and vocal percussion, he has journeyed his way through modelling, acting, hosting, music production, and is currently involved in UAV Piloting, and content creation.

His professional journey started in 2003, and was last seen on Family Feud Canada in 2023. He graduated from the Trebas Institute in 2004 with a degree in Recorded Music Production.

He is currently part of DJ Nana’s ear2muchcollective and RAP SHEETS Hip Hop and R&B Trivia night at The Theatre Centre in Toronto plus is active in many public broadcasts online and on cable.

Duris Jackson

Duris has dedicated the last 15 years of his life to video production and digital storytelling. In that time he has worked with various organizations from the corporate sector to education to music and entertainment. Music has always been a passion of his and over the years he has gone from a hip hop fan to a music producer of sorts to compliment his video projects and he has had the opportunity to work with various Toronto-based artists. Nowadays Duris spends most of his time covering musicians and visual artists and creating men’s mental health content that hopefully guides, uplifts, and inspires.

Renowned as the “Style Bender,” North English brings a unique flair to his performances, seamlessly. incorporating influences from diverse musical landscapes. While his expertise extends to various genres, North English specializes in curating exceptional experiences within the realms of Dancehall, Afrobeats, House and Hip-Hop.

With a commitment to musical excellence, North English treats every show the with the same care, weather it be opening for DJ Diesel and Whipped Cream or your special day walking down the aisle. His sonic craftsmanship, refined over years of experience, captivates audiences, transcending the ordinary and leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape.

To add to North English’s list of accomplishments, he is also the resident DJ to DJ Nana’s RAP SHEETS Hip Hop and R&B Trivia night at The Theatre Centre in Toronto.

Lamine Martinedale

Lamine Martindale is a born and bred Torontonian who grew up at Bloor and Spadina.

Always a music lover, he played classical piano from four years old to the age of 18, which is when he transitioned to rapping with childhood friends and formed the group Fatal Phonetics. They performed at many venues during the city’s early 2000s underground scene. Years later, Lamine would also join a group called Homegrown which he also did many performances with.

Professionally, he’s worked in the restaurant industry since high school at many notable establishments including Conzo’s Pizza (now named Bar Sugo) where he was a partner. He’s since left and currently owns Conejo Negro at College and Ossington (838 College St. W) with his wife and his longtime friend and colleague where they serve Caribbean, Creole and Latin American inspired fare.

A close friend and collaborator of DJ Nana’s for two decades, Lamine has been participating as score keeper or host at Nana’s RAP SHEETS hip hop trivia night since its inception.
