Residency Showings & Holiday Party 2025

Residency Artists

Residency Showings are back, and everyone is invited!

Residency is a structured multi-year program that provides artists/groups with resources and time to take their project from the idea stage, to finished works. Residency Showings are an integral part of this program, where audiences can meet the artists wherever they are in their process. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek of what’s in development at The Theatre Centre.

Your attendance plays a critical role in the creation of these new works. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Hear from Adam Lazarus, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Nehal El-Hadi, Hackett and Langdon, Jenn Goodwin, Philip Geller, PJ Prudat, and Stewart Legere

Earlier this year, we announced exciting updates to our Residency program, as well as welcomed new Residency artists! You can learn more about our new Residency artists and the program by revisiting our announcements below:

About Residency

Residency is a structured two-year program (sometimes longer!) providing groups/artists with the necessary space, funding and mentorship to craft ideas still in their infancy into finished works that are provocative, innovative, and ambitious. We look for good ideas, drawing us to projects led by directors, designers, composers, choreographers, architects, visual artists, and even a neurologist. Residency facilitates a highly collaborative artistic process that starts by asking what do you need? Learn more about Residency.

Residency is generously supported by BMO Financial.
