Sanguine

A Cahoots Theatre Production, Conceived, created and
performed by Parastoo Amanzadeh and Mina Zaghari

Sanguine is a haunting tale of friendship, purpose, and loss.
Two best friends leave everything behind to pursue their dreams
of dance and theatre in a new country. After years of struggle,
they are finally being seen—their bodies, their artistry, their
stories finding a place on stage. But when one of them begins to
lose the very abilities that once defined her, she makes an
irreversible decision that will change everything. As movement
fades into stillness, the two must navigate love, loss, and the
weight of choosing when to say goodbye.

“Some of my all-time favourite moments have been when something hilariously awkward happens in public and I catch the eyes of a stranger and for a second we know exactly what each other is thinking. And then we go about our lives. It’s a beautiful intimacy.” For actor, director, and writer Gregory Prest, even a...
