The Deep End Weekend

Presented by Nova Dance

The Deep End Weekend is a two-day creative immersion combining stimulating conversations and joyous surprising collaborations. On Saturday, Multi-generational and multi-disciplinary artists share their experiences and thoughts on art and life. On Sunday participants work with Team Leaders to collaborate and create a Season in A Day, with performances for the public in the evening.

Led by Artistic Director Nova Bhattacharya, The Deep End Weekend aims to provide dance artists who have trained in dance forms of the South Asian diaspora the opportunity to consider their art as a vital and essential part of contemporary Canadian society; and collaborate with artists of a diverse range of practice and cultural backgrounds in the creation of new works.

The Deep End Weekend is a unique opportunity to work in and outside of your comfort zone in a supportive and challenging environment with a diverse range of aesthetics, artists and ideas. Participation for artists is free, as are the performances for audiences.
